USM PENANG, 7 August 2026 – Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) is pleased to announce that the Chancellor of USM, His Royal Highness Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Ibni Almarhum Tuanku Syed Putra Jamalullail, has graciously consented to the following dates for the 64th USM Convocation Ceremony:

The 64th Convocation Ceremony will be held across fourteen (14) sessions, with the First Session to be presided over by His Royal Highness the Chancellor.

Sessions Two (S2) to Fourteen (S14) will be presided over by USM Pro-Chancellors, namely Tan Sri Datuk Dr. Zulkefli A. Hassan, Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Dr. Ir. Ahmad Tajuddin Ali, and Dato’ Seri Dr. Awang Adek Hussin.

This year’s Convocation will celebrate more than 9,000 graduates across various levels of study, including Postgraduate Degrees (Doctor of Philosophy and Master’s), Bachelor’s Degrees, and the Diploma in Nursing.

The Convocation Ceremony represents a significant milestone for the entire university community, especially for the graduates, parents, and families, as a symbol of achievement and recognition of their dedication and sacrifices throughout their academic journey.

USM extends its deepest gratitude to His Royal Highness the Chancellor for graciously consenting to the dates of the 64th Convocation Ceremony, and conveys heartfelt congratulations to all graduates on their well-deserved achievements to be celebrated this year.
