MPRC STRENGTHENS USM VISUAL IDENTITY THROUGH “ONE LOGO, ONE IDENTITY” ROADSHOW AT HEALTH CAMPUS

KUBANG KERIAN, 28 June 2026 – The Media and Public Relations Centre of Universiti Sains Malaysia (MPRC USM), in collaboration with the Office of the Vice-Chancellor, continues to strengthen the university’s visibility agenda by organising the second series of ‘Program Jelajah Pemerkasaan Keterlihatan dan Identiti Visual USM’ today at the Health Campus, Kelantan.

This roadshow is one of MPRC’s strategic initiatives to ensure the official logo, branding elements, and communication materials of the university are applied consistently, accurately, and professionally across all schools and centres (PTJ) at every campus.

With the theme “One Logo, One Identity,” the programme highlights the importance of visual identity as a reflection of professionalism, credibility, and authority of the USM brand, especially in posters, official publications, digital graphics, presentation slides, and communication content carrying the university’s name.

The programme brought together staff from various PTJs at the Health Campus and served as a platform for direct sharing of best practices between MPRC and campus community, addressing real challenges in managing the university’s visual identity.

A key feature of the programme was the Brand Clinic, which gave participants the opportunity to receive direct advice, reviews, and clarification from MPRC’s design team.

According to MPRC Director, Latifah Abdul Latif, strengthening visual identity requires commitment and cooperation from all USM community to ensure every communication material produced reflects consistency in enhancing the university’s image professionally and with authority.

“We do not want USM’s visual identity to look different depending on the PTJ. Instead, we want every material issued under USM’s name to carry the same feel – neat, authoritative, trustworthy, and reflective of the university’s strength,” she said.

The Health Campus series follows the first roadshow held at the Main Campus, Penang, on 10 June. The programme will continue at the Engineering Campus, Nibong Tebal, on 9 July, before concluding at the Auditorium Sains@Bertam, Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi Cancer Centre, on 10 July.

This roadshow reflects MPRC’s ongoing commitment to instilling compliance with the university’s visual identity, while ensuring USM’s corporate communication remains neat, authoritative, and aligned with institutional branding standards.

The initiative also strengthens the university’s effort to build a stronger visual narrative, enhance stakeholder confidence, and preserve USM’s professional image at national and international levels.
